FOUNDATION FOR EMPLOYEES TRAININGS

Foundation for Employees Trainings was founded in 2008 by four Slovenian regional Chambers of Craft.

The fundamental aim is to co-finance formal and informal education of employees, further training for more demanding works, specialisation within profession, safety and health at work, knowledge of language, IT trainings, study visits….

Foundation for Employees Trainings operates with non-obligatory contribution of 5 € per worker per month and co-finance employees trainings. Foundation operates on field of reciprocity.

40 years ago Funds for education of employees at Independent Entrepreneurs in Slovenia have been founded by Slovenian Chamber of Craft and Slovenian Craft employees Union according to the Collective agreement between workers and private employers. Association of one percent of gross loan for employees was mandatory for all employers with legal status independent entrepreneur.  System of trainings co-financing was successful and trainings of nearly 50% employees were co-financed.

In July 2008 the Collective agreement for craft and small businesses was signed without trainings co-financing system. Employee Training Institute was founded in October 2008 as an answer of non-adequate Collective agreement for craft and small businesses on field of education. Employee Training Institute with social partners is trying to increase possibilities for including of co-financing system into Collective agreement further on.

Objectives of Foundation for Employees Trainings are:

• Increase members number
• Increase level of trainings co-financing
• Include employers into trainings co-financing system
• Cooperation with similar national organisations
• To promote system of trainings co-financing toward policy and decision makers

Foundation for Employees Trainings main activities are:

• Trainings co-financing
• Promotion of vocational trainings
• Promotion of lifelong learning and trainings
• Promotion of shortage occupations
• Cooperation with Regional and National Chambers of Craft
• Cooperation with social partners (Craft Union, Association of Employers in Craft and Small Business of Slovenia)

We are open to any project cooperation suggestions or proposals. We have experiences and expertises on following fields: lifelong training, innovative learning policy, tailor made trainings, SME trainings, trainings for work, good practise, lifelong trainings expertise, innovative networks.
